Bridgehampton Art
For artists, Bridgehampton was always irresistible. Among many who flocked there, lured by the vibrant colors of the sand, the bay and the cars, was noted painter George Gach. A native of Hungary, Gach came to the U.S. and indulged his love of cars by frequent trips to The Bridge. His oil of pit action during the 1967 Can-Am is a testament to the American love of speed.

Douglas Mesney Gallery '67, '68, '69
Douglas Mesney was perhaps the most creative racing photographer working in the 1960s and Bridgehampton fired his imagination.
Says Mesney, who was on assignment for Car and Driver: "I had so much competition for the "normal" shots, that I went out to look for "other perspectives!"
The result: these beautiful, dreamlike images. To acquire prints of these classic shots, please visit Douglas at Incredibleimages.com
