With the opening of the spectacular Rogers House in downtown Bridgehampton as the new Bridgehampton Museum slated for the second half of 2021, fans of the gone-but-never-forgotten Bridgehampton Race Circuit are celebrating an opportunity to highlight Bridgehampton’s legendary motorsport history.

Covering the years 1915- 1997, the rotating exhibits will include everything from early films and vintage photos to important race cars to celebrity driver presentations.  We are also in discussions to acquire a hyper-realistic driving simulator running software of the fabled track on the dunes above Sag Harbor. A project of the Bridgehampton Racing Heritage Group and the Bridgehampton Museum, exhibits from our extensive collection will serve as a focal point for a documentary video legacy, the Bridgehampton Museum’s annual Rally and Cars & Coffee celebrations, and other events celebrating racing’s golden age.

The Bridgehampton Racing Heritage Group will offer education, curatorial and research services.

How you can help:

Exhibits:  Our collections are extensive but by no means comprehensive. Do you have any treasures from the glory days of Bridgehampton? Please consider exhibiting them with the Museum. We are particularly interested in high quality films, trophies and track signs for short term or long term loan. (All exhibits are fully insured).
Pitch in! Do you have a pre-1960 car? Consider running it in the Bridgehampton Museum’s annual rally over the twisting backroads that inspired motorsport in Bridgehampton https://bhmuseum.org/road-rally.php. Volunteer to help us run the rally! Many BRHG members are knowledgeable about the heyday of Bridgehampton. We want to hear your stories and suggestions.. This is a team effort! Technical assistance is particularly welcome.
Donations: Putting on multimedia exhibits is expensive. Please donate to our effort, the fruit of 20 + years of labor.  The Bridgehampton Museum is a 501C3 tax exempt organization.

Join the Bridgehampton Racing Heritage Group and keep visiting this site for updates in the months to come!
